Kiteboarding world cup – PKRA in Sicily – Girls single and double eliminations

In the world of kiteboards, there are also organizations and groups. Of course, this is important so that there would be order and that people who are into the sport would be able to have people with the same interest to interact with. Being part of an organization or a group can be really helpful for people. And this is something that has also been happening when it comes to the sport of kiteboarding.

The Professional Kiteboard Riders Association is one of those groups and it is also known as PKRA. Another group is the International Kiteboarding Association and it is called as IKA for short. And several weeks back, they have worked together and had worked in an agreement. They have agreed to work and cooperate with each other and that has been done immediately. This is really good so much so that any work that needs to be done in any event or in anything regarding the sport can be done even better with more people in it.

The PKRA has already organized an event just right after the agreement it had with the IKA. And the event was the PKRA KiteMasters Portimao. This event was held in Portugal and with that, the IKA has also had its share in the workings and in joining it as well. So all in all, they both had work and they also both had fun doing something for the sport that they love.

An agreement can be something done verbally by two parties but in the case of the PKRA and the IKA, they had both signed an agreement so everything is in black and white. Of course there were negotiations between the two groups and there were some top people who were involved in this. For the PKRA, it was their tour manager who became the lead person. This was Mauricio Toscano. For the IKA, it was Markus Schwendtner who serves as the group’s executive secretary.

With the two groups working together, those who are part of the organizations can benefit more. If there would be issues with kiteboarding equipment needed or maybe kiteboarding kitesurf items that need to be prepared, both organizations can work on that to speed things up. Both groups are more than happy with the arrangements and with the cooperation. Both are even positive that the whole thing will work out real well to create wonderful events that kiteboarders will surely love.
